Remember, remember the 5th November, and in case you don’t here’s a list of what’s on in Bradford this month:
- Don’t miss the Lister Lantern Parade and open museum night at Cartwright Hall on Friday 1 November. Cecil Green Arts will be holding final lantern making workshops during the day, in preparation. Entertainment, music and parade from 5.30pm til 8.30pm.
- Salsa and Latin Dance Night at Lefteris Café on Friday 1 November from 8pm. Beginner friendly and no partner needed.
- See Trojan Horse by the LUNG theatre company at the Theatre in the Mill as part of the Wit(h)ness festival 1-2 November.
- Bradford City Runs – a festival of running starting from City Park with one lap-5km/2 laps-10km/4 laps-a half marathon and children’s events. Choose your distance and enter here. Sunday 3 November from 9.30am.
- BCB Radio Youth Music Live are hosting their second masterclass for young people on music and the spoken word at The Brick Box Rooms on Sunday 2 November 2pm-6pm.
- Bradford Firework Extravaganza at Peel Park on Tuesday 5 November. Children’s display at 6.30pm followed by a huge display at 8.30pm. Funfair and food also available.

- Singing and Talking in Tongues with singers, poets and spoken word artists at The Brick Box Rooms on Wednesday 6 November, 6pm-9pm.
- The Pictureville cinema at the Science and Media Museum is hosting a month of film events throughout November from ballet, National Theatre Live, Star Wars, opera and Andrew Scott.
- Haworth Artisan Festive Food and Drink Market at the Old School Rooms on Saturday 9 November 11am-4pm.
- Santa’s Sleigh Ice Sculpture with the incredible Sand in Your Eye before the Christmas light switch on. Saturday 9 November 11am-3pm outside the Broadway Shopping Centre (I know it’s a wee bit early for Christmas but Sand In Your Eye sculptures are worth it). There will also be festive pitch battles from local school choirs and Heather Small switching on the lights at 6.30pm.
- Arm knit a chunky throw at Nordish café in Saltaire. They promise “even non-knitters can make a person-sized throw in just a couple of hours.” Tuesday 12 November 7pm-9pm.
- Café Scientifique debate “What superhero technologies are needed to build future cities?” Talks at 6.30pm and 8pm as part of the Science and Media Museum Lates. Thursday 21 November.
- Bradford Cathedral’s Eco Group will be leading its next community tree planting at Denso Martson Nature Reserve, Baildon on Saturday 23 November from 10am-3pm.
- Saltaire Peace and Crafts Fair on Saturday 23 November at Victoria Hall with arts and crafts stalls, music, choirs, face-painting, circus skills workshops and shiatsu. 10am-4pm
- Beat and the Pulse Moroccan Take Over three-course vegan dinner at Bread + Roses café on Saturday 23 November. From 7pm.
- British Press Photographer’s Association Exhibition Launch. See some of the best press photographs from 2019 at Cartwright Hall on Sunday 24 November 1pm-3pm.
- Sunbridgewells Christmas Market 29-30 November with unique, handmade gifts.
- Bradford Christmas Fayre and lantern parade at City Park, Saturday 30 November. Arts and craft stalls, food, drink, entertainment, stilt walkers and lantern making workshops in preparation for the parade. 12pm-8pm.
